Hope that you are all having a fabulous, gluten-free Valentine’s Day! Aaron and I went out last night for our special dinner and I think that I may have gotten glutened! ACK! It has been a long time since this has happened and I don’t miss it one bit!
We often eat at the restaurant we went to last night, so I don’t know exactly what went wrong. I think not knowing what made me sick is worse than being able to pinpoint it. I did have something different, so I would love to assume that it was the new entrée so that I can just stay clear of that next time. I am finally starting to feel a little bit better- 18+ hours later.
Do you have any special plans today? I will be enjoying some Dark Chocolate Truffle Hearts from Trader Joe’s later this evening. Baked Ziti would be a great idea for Valentine’s dinner –

Hope you're feeling better by now! Just out of curiosity – what are the symptoms that tell you you've been glutened? I know they differ for people. I am starting to think mine include a sudden multi-day flareup of intense heartburn and horrible night-time stomach pain – usually from about 2:30-5a. This is on my mind since I've been heartburn/acidreflux plagued since yesterday morning, and had another stomach episode last night. So, I'm not sure if I got hit Saturday or Sunday night.
Thanks MJ…I am feeling better now.
My symptoms are usually cramping/bloating/diarrhea and they start within 30 minutes to an hour of eating gluten. It was right on last night, though the D didn't hit until last AM. The cramping & bloating was so bad that I couldn't stand up without severe pain.
It has been a long time since I have felt like that.
Hope you feel better soon, too!
