{"id":3644,"date":"2011-08-26T11:02:08","date_gmt":"2011-08-26T15:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.glutenfreeislife.com\/?p=3644"},"modified":"2011-08-26T11:02:16","modified_gmt":"2011-08-26T15:02:16","slug":"keeping-me-honest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.glutenfreeislife.com\/?p=3644","title":{"rendered":"Keeping Me Honest"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wlWriterHeaderFooter\" style=\"float:none; margin:0px; padding:4px 0px 4px 0px;\"><iframe src=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/widgets\/like.php?href=http:\/\/www.glutenfreeislife.com\/?p=3644\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"border:none; width:450px; height:80px\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Okay, it is really \u201cKeeping Them Honest\u201d, but there is no them here, just me.&#160; Unfortunately <a href=\"http:\/\/ac360.blogs.cnn.com\/category\/keeping-them-honest\/\">Anderson Cooper<\/a> wasn\u2019t available to help with this project, he probably has more important things to do.&#160; <\/p>\n<p>At the risk of looking like a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aetv.com\/hoarders\/\">hoarder<\/a>, I am about to share a picture with you.&#160; I am sharing this picture to motivate myself to make a change.&#160; It is no secret that I struggle with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.glutenfreeislife.com\/?p=3569\">organization<\/a>.&#160; I have purchased (and put together) many different methods and have failed at most (okay, really, all of them, as I am still looking).&#160; I ordered Stephanie O\u2019Dea\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/totallytogetherjournal.com\/\">Totally Together Journal<\/a> (will review it soon) and got it in the mail the other day.&#160; I am getting ready to dive in and thought what better way to document this process than to share with you all.&#160; Plus, it will hold me accountable (or should).&#160; <\/p>\n<p>This picture is my loft\/office.&#160; <em><strong>My whole house does not look like this.<\/strong><\/em>&#160; My desk is a catch-all for paperwork that needs to be <strike>dealt with<\/strike> filed.&#160; I work at keeping the rest of the house picked up for the most part, so this area gets neglected.&#160; Part of the problem is that I share this area with Aaron, which really isn\u2019t fair to him.&#160; <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.glutenfreeislife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/IMG_3701-640x427.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"IMG_3701 (640x427)\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_3701 (640x427)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glutenfreeislife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/IMG_3701-640x427_thumb.jpg\" width=\"543\" height=\"380\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>His desk\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.glutenfreeislife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/IMG_3700-640x427.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"IMG_3700 (640x427)\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_3700 (640x427)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glutenfreeislife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/IMG_3700-640x427_thumb.jpg\" width=\"546\" height=\"377\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As you can see, he has every reason to be irritated with my disaster zone.&#160; Every 3-6 months I will clean and file and make a promise to myself that I won\u2019t let this happen again and it does.&#160; LOL!&#160; I think part of the problem is that I don\u2019t go in the loft\/office on a regular basis, so I forget about the mess.&#160; I will often send Hannah or Jon up with papers &amp; such that need to be filed and have them place them on my desk.&#160; I think step 1 needs to be that I need to do it myself so I can <strong>see<\/strong> the mess every time I add to it.&#160; It certainly can\u2019t hurt, right?
