I am happy to report that I actually stuck to my menu plan for 4 nights last week! Any progress is progress, right? I also made more of a conscious effort to take the meats out that I need in advance, as meat that is still frozen is sure to derail my plans and send me right to BJ’s Brewhouse or Pei Wei.
Can you believe next week is Halloween already? I am excited because I love to see all the kids dress up. I am not looking forward to the start of Christmas songs on the radio in the next week or all of the crazy decorations in the stores. I have seen some stores already putting their stuff up! I love the holidays, I just feel like they lose some of their appeal and meaning with decorations for the season being up for 2 months out of the year.
Sunday – Filet mignon (A & I; Rotisserie for the kids), baked potatoes, broccoli & salad
Monday – BBQ chicken breast, sweet potato hashbrowns, asparagus & salad
Tuesday – Baked Ziti, steamed green beans & salad
Wednesday – Breakfast for dinner
Thursday – Soft tacos, black beans, corn & salad
Friday – Pizza, roasted vegetables and salad
Saturday – Leftovers
Baked Goods
PB Chocolate Chip Cookies
Pumpkin Bagels

My son and me, November 2000. This is before we were gluten-free/diagnosed Celiac.

good for you!! 4 days is pretty good! Do you have "standbys" in case you forget the meat. I have a couple that get rotated through.
I also agree with the Christmas stuff. Decorations and "stuff" are already out around here. I just can't get into it when it starts so early. Blah!
Pumpkin Bagels?! Did I miss that post?!
That is serious progress! I really need to get back into menu planning! You go girl!
Diane – Well, already ruined this week – went out to eat last night! LOL! Yes, I do have standbys in case I forget. Last night was just easier to go out after Jon had PT.
Katrina – No, you didn't miss anything. I am experimenting & will share if it works! LOL!
Carrie – Thanks!
Haha we are complete opposites, my husband and I were so psyched to have our first condo last Christmas that we put up our tree on Nov. 1 so that we could get as much mileage out of it as possible!! lol but we did get a tad bit sick of it by the time the holidays actually rolled around…
