Happy New Year’s Day!! Are you excited for the new year? One thing I love about January 1st is doing a race to kick of the year and month with fitness! Fun, right? Another fun way to start the year off right is with a giveaway! The new Daiya products are wedges in three different varieties:

Havarti style – Filtered water, tapioca flour, palm fruit oil, non-GMO expeller pressed canola and/or safflower oil, pea protein, coconut oil, salt, inactive yeast, vegetable glycerin, xanthan gum, gum arabic, garlic, lactic acid (vegan, for flavor), vegan natural flavours, titanium dioxide (a naturally occurring mineral), spices, natural smoke flavour, vegan enzyme.
The “cheese” slices and melts just like the real thing! I thoroughly enjoyed all three varieties on various sandwiches, burgers and potatoes. I really like the cheddar on a thick, juicy bison burger!
We also enjoy the Daiya Mozzarella Style Shreds on pizza (our Mellow Mushroom serves their gluten-free, vegan pizza with Daiya).

They all sound delicious, but Jack is my absolute favorite kind of cheese, so I'm most excited about that one! I've never heard of this brand, but it sounds delicious and healthy too!

I love Daiya shredded cheese on my pizza but haven't tried any other varieties yet. I'd love to try the Havarti style! I didn't know Daiya made a Havarti style "cheese" but my family eats the real stuff on tortilla chips with hot peppers and it always looks/smells so good. Thanks for offering the giveaway!

Bon Annee' de Louisiana, Kim! Thanks for this post. The Veggie Cheese in the green wrapper at WalMart doesn't work for me, and I didn't know of another alternative to order. Daiya looks and sounds wonderful, and I'm impressed that one of your local restaurants offers it pon their pizzas. I'll have to mention it to the health-conscious cafe in my hometown. And that toasted bread looks scrumptious, too. Thanks.
